The Filippo Vineyard is a southwestern slope that captures long hours of afternoon summer sunshine. It is planted with 113, 114, and 115 Dijon clones as well as Pommard clones. This bottling has a wonderful aroma of caramel and cinnamon entwined with candied cherries and strawberries. Very silky, fine grain tannins blend with beautiful aged flavors of dried fruits, tobacco, and cedar. Wonderful acid balance makes this a perfect food wine, ideal with roasted pork or lamb.
